Let the Spring Air In

Yes, it’s that time of year again to get stuck into some spring cleaning madness.

When was the last time you checked the batteries in your smoke alarms, cleaned out the fridge, checked the seals on your doors and windows or checked your fly screens for damage? Now is the time to go mad and let the spring air in.

NSW Kidsafe Window Legislation Introduced

NSW Minister for Fair Trading Anthony Roberts has introduced into parliament new window safety laws to help prevent children falling from windows in residential strata buildings. Mr Roberts said in 2011-2012, 39 children aged nine or younger were hospitalised in NSW due to window falls.

“The suffering these children and their families have gone through due to a terrible accident is devastating,” Mr Roberts said. Continue reading
