On Wednesday 20th May, Strata Choice held their first seminar for Building Managers. The seminar was held to discuss some of the current hot topics in Strata, and their affects on building managers. Telstra hosted the event at their newly built Customer Insight Centre. The insight centre offered a high tech atmosphere with state of the art technology, situated in the centre of the city.

The evening kicked off with a presentation by Telstra on the National Broadband Network, followed by a presentation on Child Safety Window Locks by Solutions in Engineering. After the presentations all guests enjoyed a tour of the Insight Centre where the Building Manager’s were exposed to some new technologies which they can use to help manage their workload, whether in the office or on site.

Canapés and drinks led everyone to enjoy the remainder of the evening by networking and conversing. Strata Choice would like to thank all the building mangers that attended, for the enjoyable evening.

Research at City Futures at UNSW Australia is calling for strata residents to complete a survey. It asks what you like and dislike about strata living, whether you feel at home in your property and how well managed it is.

The information you provide will help to understand how the needs of different people living in strata schemes can best be accommodated and what can be done to make strata properties attractive places to live for everyone.
